2. Which assignment did you like the most? Why?

- I liked assignment 2 because I like to write stories.

- I think my essay (assignment 11) is good because the subject is close to me

- Probably assignment 3 because i’m not so strong when in comes to translating.

5. What kind of aids did you use when writing?

- My imagination, I do free writing in my freetime so writing is easy for me.

6. What kind of feedback did you receive from other students?

- I got a comment saying my fairytale was good J

7. Do you think you improved as a writer?

- Maybe, at least I hope so

8. What are your strengths as a writer?

- As I said, imagination and I think my grammar is okay?

9. What are your weaknesses?

- Maybe the lack of inspiration and also perfectionism. Usually I’m not happy with something I write because it’s not perfect.

Assignment 10

The game of mind

There was a black bed in my room, black sheets in the bed. Windows were covered with cardboard and old clothes, the door was always locked and I broke the lamp long time ago. Maybe when I was fifteen, or last year. Can’t remember. Don’t want to remember.

“Of course you remember my dear, of course you want to remember. It was two years ago.”

They said I was sick. They said I wasn’t even from this planet. I didn’t listen to them, I didn’t want to. I painted, I painted black pictures with black paint to black paper. It represented me. Darkness, gloominess, blackness, me.

“That’s what you think. Remember when we used to play together? Who has the guts to run longer in the rails?”

They gave me pills I didn’t take. They gave me food I didn’t eat. They asked me to go outside, I didn’t go. I didn’t want to, I couldn’t, no.

“But sweetie, you know I could never hurt you. Sweetie, I love you.”

Once I stepped out of my black room. It was the very last time I did that.

I gave it all up for it.

Assignment 11

An argumentative essay

Respecting everyone is important

Okay so I have this one thing that’s been in my head for a while so I decided to write this text about it, hoping it would make someone to change their opinion. Why is there still homophobia and transphobia in the world? Why would anyone be affected by what’s on their neighbor’s pants or who is they living with? It’s 2015, why is equality so hard to reach?

I’m so tired of these bible-arguments people are throwing at homosexuals, like “you can’t get married because bible says it is wrong!” first of all, bible does only say that “You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination”, which can be found in old testament. Let me tell you, there is so many more things that are “abomination” according to Old Testament and does anyone give a crap about those? Nope. If you are divorced single-mother who has three children with three different fathers, you have done so much sin you probably shouldn’t make a number about someone being gay.

Other very funny thing that occurs is “if a gay couple has children, they will be bullied!” How about teaching your own kids that being different isn’t a bad thing? Kids don’t born as hateful. They are taught to be that. My favorite argument is “a child needs mom and dad!” so basically you want all the single mothers and fathers to give up their children, very polite.

Speaking of children, why is that when a couple is expecting they say “we don’t care if it’s a boy or a girl, all we care is that it’s healthy”, but later their Mary realizes she’s been born in a wrong body, she should’ve been born as a boy and the parents throws her out saying “I gave birth to a baby girl not a boy.” It’s just disgusting. I have many transgender friends and when they told me they are trans and asked me to use different name and pronouns, of course I did it.
“I’ve used to call you Lily and not James”, is not an excuse.
“But you’ve always been a girl to me”, is not an excuse. Trans people do not change their gender because they want to, actually they don’t change it at all, they just correct it the way it should always have been.

If everyone could respect each other and not being assholes, that would be super great. If you are a parent who has LBGTQ-child, don’t throw them out when they tell you. Support them. That way we could prevent so many suicides and depressed kids. It’s a fact that most of teenage suicides are committed by Trans kids who weren’t accepted the way they are. 

Assignment 12

Shared Narrative

A short, blond guy is sitting on the bench, throwing rocks in the lake. He’s waiting for his best friend and thinking about their friendship, because John is late as always.

“Will!” he hears a sound from the distance. “Wake up!”
“Oh, hi John”, Will replies and smiles a bit. “Late again.”
“Yeah sorry, I had to drink so much coffee because my eyes didn’t want to stay open.”
“Understandable”, Will grins and the two decide to move forward. They are about to go and play some ice-hockey together. The boys have been friends since kindergarten and they have always played hockey together.

Will and John have the same personality, which makes them best friends. They’re both funny and kind. They both have a great sense of humor and they like to laugh a lot.
Sometimes Will and John likes to play games and might get angry to each other but the anger won’t last long and they both understands it and won’t get hurt.

John lives on his own. His home is located in the big city, but he has train connection almost anywhere he wants to go. His apartment in on the sixth floor in 20 floor building. He has an awesome neighbors who don’t get mad if John is listening music a little bit louder because he is a young man.

Will is in relationship with Lily and he is so in love. They live together near John.  John is a little envious because he want girlfriend too. But still he is happy of his friend.

Will and John decided to go out and play some hockey. When they arrived to the train station they noticed that all the trains are cancelled. They decided to walk to the ice stadium, even if the trip is long they don’t care about it because they just want to play hockey. But them Will gets a phone call from Lily and she’s asking Will to go out with her. Will wants to but then John gets mad because 

Will promised John to hang out with him the whole day. Will is feeling to be at a dilemma. John makes Will to choose between him and Lily and Will has no choice but to choose John because they’ve been best friends so ever. Will breaks up with Lily and Lily is furious so she decides to make John suffer and get back together with Will. When Lily told Will about this plan he got scared because she knew Lily was crazy and when she got angry she did really terrifying things. Then the epic plot-twist happened: both Will and John liked Lily. In the beginning, John was really late because he was drinking coffee with Lily, in a nice coffeeshop.
